As of the end of July, the Ukrainian agrarians received UAH 261.1 million of partial compensation for the cost of purchasing domestic agricultural machinery and equipment. This was reported by the press service of the Ukraine’s Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry.
The corresponding purchasing were made over the period December 2018 and January-May 2019. According to the Ministry, during the reported period, 2,372 agricultural producers benefited from the support; were purchased 3,993 units of machinery and equipment for the total amount of UAH 1,262 million.
Among the largest recipients of compensation from the state are agricultural producers from Vinnitsia (UAH 29.1 million), Odesa (UAH 20.2 million), Sumy (UAH 18.6 million), Kirovohrad (UAH 18.2 million) and Mykolaiv (UAH 17.6 million) oblasts.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian farmers sowed 6.7 million hectares of spring grain crops.
