Ukrainian farmers sowed 6.7 million hectares of spring grain crops

In Ukraine, as of May 22, agrarians sowed spring grain and leguminous crops (with corn) on an area of ​​6.7 million hectares, or the projected 93%. About it reports Uryadovy portal.

In particular, sown:

early spring grain – on an area of ​​2.1 million hectares, or 97%;

corn for grain – on an area of ​​4.4 million hectares, or 95%;

buckwheat – on an area of ​​28 thousand hectares, or 29%;

millet – on an area of ​​43 thousand hectares, or 75%.

In addition, the sowing of industrial crops continues. Thus, sugar beets were sown on an area of ​​220 thousand hectares, which is 90% of the forecast, sunflower seeds – on an area of ​​5.3 million hectares or 93%, soybeans – on an area of ​​1.3 million hectares or 71%.
