President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has said that Minsk was forced to close the border with Ukraine due to the flow of weapons, BelTA reported.

“We had to tightly close the border with our brothers and relatives [with Ukraine – ed.]. Even tighter than the border with the North Atlantic bloc, which has seemed to us the enemy number one for a long times,” Lukashenko said, speaking in Minsk at the international conference on the fight against terrorism.

President of Belarus added that when ordinary people had weapons, “especially people with nationalistic ideas, it will result in terrorism.”
