The Government supported decree on Ukraine’s withdraw from the international treaty within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), to form a Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
“Today [January 15 – ed.], the Cabinet of Ministers supported the draft presidential decree to withdraw from the Agreement on the creation of the Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units of the CIS Member States,” the statement said.
The ministry notes that withdrawing from CIS will reduce Ukraine’s obligations within the CIS and will help protect Ukraine’s national interests.
