The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Oleksandr Danyliuk, has said that the full implementation of the Minsk agreements was in the interests of Ukraine, including unconditional amnesty for militants, as well as the reintegration of the occupied territories, Livii Bereh reports.
“We want to fully implement the Minsk agreements because this is in our [Ukraine’s] interests. We want to reintegrate the territories and believe that we are ready for it. In 2014, it was suicide: we, as a country, simply could not stand it, we were not able to,” the NSDC Secretary said.
Danyliuk also stressed that in order [for Ukraine] not to obtain the occupied territories [with the power recruited by Russia] it was necessary to achieve the introduction of a UN peacekeeping contingent and the complete disarmament of the militants.
The NSDC secretary is convinced that Ukraine should demonstrate the residents of certain territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts its potential and readiness care of them.
