Ukrainians have registered almost 5500 electric vehicles since the beginning of 2019, including 397 commercial vehicles and 5081 passenger cars, the Ukrautoprom Ukrainian Motor Vehicles Manufacturers Association has reported.
The demand for electric cars among Ukrainian companies has doubled since the beginning of the year, and that for electric cars has grown by 42 percent.
Ukrautoprom notes that greatest demand of all electric vehicles were used car. More than half of such cars (52%) were purchased.
The share of cars older than five years was 39%, and share of new cars was almost 9%.
The most popular brands among passenger electric vehicles has been Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model S and BMW i3.
