In May, 943 new electric vehicles were registered in Ukraine, up 300 on previous year. This was reported by the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association.
Compared to last year, the demand for passenger electric cars in Ukraine in May increased by one and a half times, and decreased by 15 percent for commercial ones. The commercial electric vehicles market consisted exclusively of imported second-hand goods and did not differ in variety and, as in the past, RENAULT Kangoo Z. E. electric cars make up the majority on it.
Some 60 new passenger electric cars were registered, and the majority of the vehicles (855) were used ones.
The most popular electric car among Ukrainian became NISSAN Leaf again. Last month, were registered 282 of such vehicles in Ukraine.
The top five most popular electric cars in May are TESLA Model S, TESLA Model 3 (128 vehicles).; CHEVROLET Bolt EV (50 vehicles) and TESLA Model X (45 vehicles).
