European Commission plans to coordinate macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in February

The European Commission may agree on EUR 500 million of macro-financial assistance for Ukraine in February 2020. This was reported by Rikard Jozwiak, the reporter of Radio Liberty in Brussels.

“It is possible that the second and final tranche of the European Commission’s macro-financial assistance for Ukraine, worth EUR 500 million, can be released in February,” he wrote.

In December 2018, the European Commission released first tranche of macro-financial assistance for Ukraine in the amount of EUR 500 million in the form of a loan at an interest rate of 1.25% per annum with repayment in April 2033.
