Ukraine to get EUR 500 mln macro-financial aid from IMF

According to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova, the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) provides EUR 500 million of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine from the European Union on favorable terms in the coming months.

“Agreement with the IMF allows Ukraine to receiving EUR 500 million of macro-financial assistance from the EU on very favorable terms in the coming months,” the Minister of Finance said.

Recall that on December 7, Zelensky had a phone conversation with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. The parties discussed terms of cooperation in line with the new IMF program, and, based on the results of this conversation, reached an agreement on a new cooperation program.
