The Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Iryna Friz, held a working meeting with representatives of UN Women on the possibility of cooperation in the framework of the program on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 Women, Peace, and Security.

It was reported by Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

Minister discussed the possibility of creating joint programs with Ministry of Veterans Affairs for women veterans. Now in the civil service registry there are about 5,000 women veterans, participants of the ATO / JOF.

“In my opinion, a separate area of cooperation could be a family rehabilitation program, since a warrior, regardless of gender, always returns from war to others. Work with women soldiers should begin at the stage of military service, so that as a result, when they acquire the status of veterans, we already have information about them, as well as about their needs, problems, health, etc.,” Iryna Friz said.

Representatives of UN-Women will be included in the working group that is working on new legislation, in particular, determining the status of veteran in Ukraine.

As the Journalist reported an exhibition of Yuriy Vakulenko opened in Kyiv.
