Kyiv sees over 300 new coronavirus cases over past day

Kyiv mayor Vitalii Klitschko has reported more than 300 new coronavirus cases over the past day, including 37 children.

“The number of new coronavirus cases in Kyiv, unfortunately, is not decreasing. Over the past day, another 307 people fell ill. Of these, 37 are children. Five patients died. In total, the coronavirus claimed 330 lives of Kyiv residents. There are already 20,335 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the capital,” Klitschko said.

Among those who were infected on previous day are:

• 161 women aged 21 to 90;

• 109 men aged 18 to 93;

• 16 girls aged from four months to 17 years old and 21 boys aged from one year to 17.

Daily figure also includes 9 health workers.

Some 37 patients were hospitalized. The rest are staying on self-isolation under the supervision of doctors.

Over the past day, 114 people have recovered. In total, 6,043 residents of Kyiv have overcome the coronavirus.

The highest number of coronavirus cases were recorded in Desnyanskyi district (58), Darnytskyi district (50), Dniprovskyi district (36).
