The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova has said that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development invested over EUR 1 billion in Ukraine’s economy over the ten months of 2019, Chastime reports.

“As of 10 months of this year, the EBRD’s investments in Ukraine amounted to more than 1 billion euros. This is a record figure. With such a strategy, it looks like Ukraine can come out on EBRD’s top among Bank’s countries of operation,” Markarova said.

The Minister of Finance noted that such data is very important for Ukraine, since the EBRD as the first investor to come in, provide funds, develop, and transfer business from the non-international business to a business that can already work with other investors.

As The Journalist reported, EBRD plans to allocate EUR 50 mln loan for purchase 50 cars for new metro line in Kyiv.
