Since November 1, vehicle drivers will not be allowed to go faster than 50 km/h on the streets across Kyiv. This was reported by the press service of the Center for Traffic Management.
The restriction is introduced on seven streets, where it was allowed to go at 80 km/h during the warm season: Shukhevych Avenue (from the North Bridge to Balzak St.); Naberezhno-Rybatskaya St. (from the Havana bridge to the Electricians street); Naddnipryansk highway; Naberezhne highway (from Postal Square to the Naddnipryansk highway); Stolychne highway (to Academician Zabolotny St.); Saperno-Slobidska St. (from M. Hrinchenko St. to the South Bridge); Mykola Bazhana Avenue (from the South bridge to Kharkivska Square).
Recall that in October last year at a plenary meeting of the Kyiv City Council, 74 deputies backed the decision to increase speed limit up to 80 km/h from April 1 to November 1 on 17 streets across the capital. In the period from November 1 to April 1, the speed limit in cities is set to 50 km/h.
