The representatives of the Coalition of the Electronic State, which includes 65 different organizations and experts in the IT field, took part in it. The President of Ukraine Zelensky also joined the discussion, the press service of the head of state reported.
“I want rapid changes. I believe in your talent and desire to make Ukraine a digital leader and I guarantee political will. We must jointly prepare the initiatives, draft laws and take steps to remove barriers to the digital economy and e-governance. I assure that I will personally “appeal” to those civil servants who show resistance,” the President emphasized.
According to the Advisor to the President Mykhailo Fedorov, the transfer of all public services to the Internet is planned to be done by 2024. It will reduce number of contacts of citizens and business with the authorities and reach the zero level of corruption in this area.
“But all this will become real only in case of consolidation with regard to the joint plan of actions of all experts, talented Ukrainian IT business, all branches of power and political will at the highest level,” Fedorov stressed.
The development of tools for e-government and democracy, digital infrastructures, digital identification, cyber security, restoring order in state registries, electronic democracy were discussed at the meeting.
The President stressed that from that moment such meetings would be held on a regular basis.
As The Journalist reported, Estonia will help Ukraine to transfer public services into electronic format to work online.
