24 MW solar power plant was launched in Petrykivsky raion of Dnipropetrivsk Oblast. The investment of the project reached UAH 450 million, Espreso reports.
The station occupies the area of 44 hectares and consists of 71,300 solar panels created in China; all equipment is Ukrainian-made kind.
SPP will produce 40 million kWh of energy each year, which is quite enough to provide electricity to 20,000 households needs.
The station will reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions by 42,000 tons a year.
The construction of the power plant lasted 9 months.
As The Journalist reported, Honcharuk states that unprofitable mines will be closed, miners will be employed.
