Ukraine’s Defense Ministry allocate UAH 11.5 bln to purchase and modernize military equipment

Deputy Director of the Finance Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Serhiy Vynnyk, announced the intention of the Ministry to allocate funds for modernization of military equipment and purchasing new ones, UNIAN reported.

“For these funds it is planned to supply more than 1,600 units of equipment and weapons: automotive vehicles, armored vehicles, communications equipment. More than 270 rocket weapons, more than 3,000 small arms,” Vynnyk said.

In addition, will be financed research work.

“This year was allocated UAH 4 billion for the overhaul of military equipment and weapons. Over 5,000 units of military equipment are planned to be repaired for these funds,” the message says.
