Defense Ministry: Ukraine, France conducted joint Naval drills in Black Sea

Ukrainian and French Navy conducted PASSEX-type joint exercises in the Black Sea, during which they worked together in a squad of ships as well as worked out joint mine action, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.

“The minesweeper Caprikorn operated by the French Navy, together with the Priluki missile boat of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, conducted  PASSEX-type joint exercises in the Black Sea water area. During sea maneuvers were working out the interaction in the squadron of ships, increasing their compatibility as well as the implementation of joint mine action,” the department said. 

First Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Rear Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa noted that these trainings are an excellent opportunity to improve sea skills and the exchange of experience between ships of NATO countries and partner countries.

As The Journalist reported, the Ministry of Defense received from the Government of Canada 56 new Ford vehicles.
