Ukrainian service members will participate in Combined Resolve XII exercise

The preparations for the active phase of the multinational Combined Resolve XII exercise are ongoing. The participants from 21 nations arrived at U.S. Army Europe’s Grafenwöhr and Hohenfels training areas. It is reported by the Ministry of Defense.

According to the ministry, a mechanized company under the command of Captain Oleksandr Borsch from the 93-I Separate Mechanized Brigade Cold Yar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing equipment and weapons for maneuvers. Tanks are refueled, the weapons are equipped with the multiple integrated laser engagement system, or MILES.

Ukrainian soldiers will take part in practical exercises on security measures and tactical medicine. In addition, Ukrainian and American instructors will also conduct training on the use of the MILES system, which uses a laser to simulate firing at the same time as shots with blank cartridges and record the hit on the target.

INFO: More than 5,000 service members from 21 nations will participate in the Combined Resolve – XII exercises. Combined Resolve training is conducted to maintain the interoperability of NATO forces and partners during joint land operations.
