It is reported that in 2018, the area of nut orchards increased to 18.9 thousand hectares. However, cultivation on an industrial scale in Ukraine gives only 14% of the crop, but the lion’s share comes from private farms. At the same time, purchase prices fell by a third compared with last year.
It is noted that 1 kg of walnuts in the capital market can be bought for 130 hryvnia.
