Christmas Island forest skink was a species of lizard. The last known representative of this species named Gump died on May 31, 2014.

Charco Palma pupfish was a species of small fish of the Cyprinodontidae family that lived in Mexico.

Christmas Island pipistrelle was a species of vesper bat that lived only on this island. The last time a representative of this species was spotted in 2009 with no further sightings of this bats despite intensive searches.
