12 settlements de-energized in Vinnytsia Oblast due to bad weather

Vinnytsa suffered the most from bad weather in Ukraine – houses were flooded and trees fell down. Some 12 settlements were left without electricity, PJSC Vinnytsiaoblenergo reported.

“A number of outages in the distribution networks of JSC Vinnitsaoblenergo was caused by bad weather, which has covered Vinnytsia and the oblast with thunderstorms since yesterday. The Vinnytsia and Oblast affected the most from the bad weather conditions (rain, wind gusts, heavy rain). As of the morning of May 7, seven 10 kW lines are disconnected in the oblast, 12 settlements are de-energized; most of ‘em are in the Vinnytsia Oblast,” the message says.

At present, brigades of district energy services are involved in the restoration of power supply.

“Flooding of the basement floors of residential buildings and private households occurred on Herzen Ave., B. Lukyanovsky st., Bratslavsky st. and G. Uspensky in Vinnytsia. Brigades of district energy services pumped out about 350 cubic meters  of water,” Vinnytsiaoblenergo reported.

As The Journalist reported, an abnormal rain flooded Vinnytsia.
