European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maroš Šefčović has said that the next round of trilateral talks with Russia and Ukraine on the long-term transit of Russian gas to the EU via Ukraine’s territory on a commercial basis would take place in Brussels on January 21, 2019.

Šefčović wrote this on Twitter:

“I am pleased to announce that the second round of political trilateral talks with Russia and Ukraine on the long-term transit of gas to Europe will take place in Brussels on 21 January,”

He also noted that the meeting will build on the progress achieved during previous political and expert rounds.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine should motivate Europeans to cooperate in order to save gas transit.
