EE mobile operator has announced launch of the first next-generation 5G mobile network in UK, BBC informs.
The report notes that at first the 5G network will operate in six large cities, including London, Edinburgh and Manchester, and will be launched in 10 cities by the end of 2019.
Thus, the UK became one of the first countries, which start to use 5G networks.
The 5G networks are already operating in the United States and South Korea. The 5G is not running in China and Japan yet.
As The Journalist reported, three mobile operators in South Korea launched 5G.
