On the eve United Nations (UN) published a report on the human development index among 189 countries on the official website of United Nations Development Program. Ukraine experts marked on the 88th position. About this writes Ukrinform.
Human Development Index (HDI) in Ukraine was 0.751. The first place was taken by Norway with the index of 0.953. The second and third steps were taken by Switzerland and Australia with indices of 0.944 and 0.939, respectively.
Ireland, Germany, Iceland, Hong Kong, Sweden, Singapore and the Netherlands also came to list of countries with the highest indicators of human development index.
It is known that the report was formed on the basis of a number of parameters of quality of human life.
«As explained in the United Nations Development Program, Human Development Index covers «an analysis of the development of mankind – a cutoff of situation by current conditions, as well as long-term trends». At the same time, report took into account such indicators as life expectancy, duration of schooling, gross national income per capita and others», report said.
