JFO: Four militants killed, one wounded in Donbas

Over the past day, March 4, the militants resorted to mortars to attack two settlements of Donbas in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. As a result of the shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, the press center of the JFO HQ informs on Facebook.
The source reports that over the past 24 hours Russian-led occupying troops opened fire on the Ukrainian positions nine times, using heavy weapons.
The report notes that in result of enemy shelling the residential building and the outbuildings of the settlements of Zaitsevo and Novoluhanske were partially damaged.

“The enemy opened fire at the Ukrainian defenders using tanks, artillery systems and mortars, firing about 108 125-mm, 122-mm, 120-mm and 82-mm shells and mines. The enemy also shelled our units from anti-tank missile systems, heavy machine guns and small arms,” the press center noted.

In particular, the positions of the Ukrainian military came under enemy fire near settlements Lebedynske, Vodyane, Shyrokine, Pisky, Zaytsevo, Novotoshkivske, Stanytsya Luhanska.

“As a result of the attacks, one Ukrainian defender was killed. Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy,” the HQ said.

According to intelligence data, on March 4, four occupiers were killed and another one was wounded.
