President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed his conviction that the current president Petro Poroshenko will win the presidential elections in Ukraine.
Lukashenko said this at a meeting with representatives of the public and the media in Minsk, BelTA reports.
“Poroshenko will became President. He will entered the second round. Maybe with Zelensky, maybe with someone else,” said Lukashenko.
“The one who voted for Zelensky, probably, will vote for him again. And those who voted for others will give their votes to Poroshenko. This is not for sure of course. But I think, considering all the variants, that Poroshenko will retain this post,” said the head of the Belarusian state.
Lukashenko also stressed that any alarming events in Ukraine have a noticeable effect to Belarus.
“At one time, when the flood of Ukrainian refugees surged, we received, according to the migration services, over 150,000 people. By presidential decree they were equated in rights with Belarusians. Many of them are employed and work here, some have already acquired their housing here. Therefore, any situation in Ukraine worries us very much. And me personally,” summed up Lukashenko.
As The Journalist reported, Aryev said that USD 41 million of PrivatBank depositors’ funds were withdrawn to the accounts of "Kvartal 95" humorists.
