Centers for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine in Donetsk Region and Kyiv for the first time in Ukraine’s history conducted aeromedical evacuation.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
“Girl born in 2006 was delivered from the regional department of neurosurgery of Liman city hospital in Donetsk Oblast to the airfield of the city of Kramatorsk. An anesthesiologist and medical assistant accompanied the child to the airport in Kyiv. An emergency medical team accompanied by a patrol police brought the child to the Institute of neurosurgery named after A.P. Romodanov of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine for further treatment. Now the girl is in the intensive care unit, she is being prepared for surgery,” the message says.
The Ministry of Health noted that this first aeromedical evacuation was an example of the coordinated work of the Centers for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and JFO participants.
As The Journalist reported, doctors of the Military Hospital conducted sessions of art therapy for the Ukraine’s defenders.
