As The Journalist reported, Ukraine’s Constitutional Court abolishes criminal penalty for illegal enrichment.
According to the Ukrainian News, referring to a source in the NABU, all criminal proceedings on illegal enrichment opened by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office should be closed due to the Constitutional Court decision.
“Logically, all cases of illegal enrichment should then be closed. We’ll see,” said the source.
According to him, this problematic issue obviously will be raised today, February 27, at a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
