Europe’s largest active volcano located in Sicily started erupting again

Europe’s highest active Mount Etna volcano on the island of Sicily, southern Italy, started erupting again, International Business Times reports.

The last time Mount Etna erupted at the end of December last year, sending ashes 3,000 metres into the air.

The local airport was forced to temporarily limit number of flights. Now the air communication has already been restored.

Local authorities say that the current activity of Etna does not pose a danger to people. The last time a powerful eruption occurred in 1992.
