Microsoft will protect 12 European countries from cyber attacks

Microsoft is expanding political security service to 12 countries in the European Union, Reuters reported.
The cybersecurity service of Account Guard designed to resist hacker attacks, close security gaps and protect against hacking. In particular, it is in great request due to elections to the European Parliament in May.
Company has proposed a program protecting political customers in Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal and Slovakia.

“Microsoft had recently detected attacks, which occurred between September and December 2018, targeting German Council on Foreign Relations and European offices of The Aspen Institute and The German Marshall Fund. The attacks targeted 104 employee accounts in Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, and Serbia, are believed to have originated from a group called Strontium,” the statement reads.
