The US Conciliation Commission worked out compromise proposals to strengthen both the border and the Department of Homeland Security budget. It provides the allocation of USD 1.375 billion to continue the construction of the US-Mexico border fence. In fact the allocation of funds for the "Trump Wall" construction is postponed until September 30 (the end of the fiscal year), Reuters reported.

Nita Lowey, Chairwoman of the appropriations committee of the House of Representatives, noted that the agreement prohibits the financing of President Trump’s border wall and includes several key measures aimed at “making the immigration system more humane”. The extensive bill also contains some important internal initiatives, including increased infrastructure investments for roads, bridges and other land transport. In addition, federal workers affected by shutdown will receive a 1.9% salary increase if the bill becomes law.
As The Journalist reported, Belgium intended to demolish XIII century built bridge.
