Iran not intend to stop ballistic missiles testing

Iran stated that it does not intend to stop work on ballistic missiles program, and will not conduct negotiations with the European Union, Ukrinform reports.
“We have repeatedly stated to our European partners that the development of missile program of the Islamic Republic of Iran is not negotiable. This program is being developed only for defense purposes in order to ensure the territorial integrity, security and stability of the people of our country,” said Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ukraine, Manuchehr Morad.
Morad noted that Iran has repeatedly declared to European countries that the production of missiles is only for the purpose of national defense and it does not contradict UN Security Council Resolution 2231, so they pose no threats and will not harm international situation.
The EU, in turn, notes that increasing the number and frequency of testing ballistic missiles deepens mistrust and contributes to instability in the region.
