In Zhytomyr oblast the illegal sale of weapons was stopped

Employees of Security Service of Ukraine blocked the sale of weapons and ammunition abducted from the military unit in the Zhytomyr oblast. About this informs Security Service of Ukraine.

The operatives found that two previously convicted residents of Novohrad-Volynskiy abducted weapons and ammunition from one of the military units deployed on the territory of the region.
They found their clients among the acquaintances and representatives of local criminal circles.
Intruders were detained during the next attempt to sell weapons and ammunition to the amount of 65 thousand UAH.
During a special operation, one of them tried to render SBU officers armed resistance.
It is also noted that during investigatory actions from the cache, arranged by suspects in the forest belt, the operatives seized two more guns, three pistols, silencers and cartridges of different caliber.
The issue of the announcement of detainees about the suspicion and the election of a preventive measure is being solved.
