Ambassadors of the European Union member states agreed on the introduction of a visa-free regime for British citizens after UK withdraw EU (Brexit), the press service of the Council of the EU reports.
“EU ambassadors today agreed that, following Brexit, UK citizens coming to the Schengen area for a short stay (90 days in any 180 days) should be granted visa free travel. Ambassadors mandated the Council Presidency to start negotiations with the European Parliament on this legislative proposal,” the statement said.
The visa-free entry is assumed in both cases whether Britain will withdraw the EU or not.
