Painting by Arkhip Kuindzhi “Ai-Petri. Crimea" was stolen from Tretyakov Gallery in Russia. About this reports Interfax-Ukraine.
During video surveillance of the exposition, it was noticed that unknown people removed a picture from the wall of one of the halls and disappeared from the scene. It is noted that upon the commission of an offense, the search for the perpetrator is now being conducted and the circumstances of the incident are being established.
At the same time in the media there were reports that the picture disappeared in front of exhibition many visitors.
Recall that on May 25, 2018, a man was arrested at Tretyakov Gallery, who broke a glass of Ilya Repin’s painting “Ivan the Terrible and his son Ivan on November 16, 1581” with a metal fence and damaged the canvas. The picture was removed from the permanent exhibition and transferred to the restoration workshop of the museum.
Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that in the capital of France, participants of “red scarves” movement, opponents of “yellow vests”, came to the rally.
