Defenders of animals from the British city of Mach-Wenlock, Shropshire county, nursing a young hedgehog named Bear, which due to stress was left without needles.
According to Facebook of local animal rescue center Cuan Wildlife Rescue, hedgehog is cold, hungry and thirsty. Usually in October, these animals hibernate and do not leave the nest until April, until the air temperature rises to 15 degrees.
Zoo search manager Fran Hill believes that Bear was awakened by the ticks that settled in his ears. Because of parasites, cold, and untimely awakening, the hedgehog became agitated, and needles began to fall out from him.
Animal defenders are hoping that in a couple of months he will be able to grow new needles. A hedgehog is given a daily massage with aloe to improve the blood circulation of the skin, and once a week they are washed with a special anti-bacterial shampoo. When he recovers, he will be released.
