The space probe, which, for the first time in the history of humankind successful landing on the far side of the moon on January 3, took panoramic shots of the Moon’s surface. This was reported by the China National Space Administration (CNSA)
The 360 degrees image of the Moon’s surface took on a camera mounted on the top of the space probe. The images were transmitted to Earth via the Queqiao satellite transponder.
“As of 8.00 a.m. local time (2.00 a.m. Kyiv time), the Chang’e-4 spacecraft, the lunar rover and the Queqiao satellite transponder were in a stable condition. The camera installed on the landing module of the probe completed a panoramic shooting (of the surface of the moon),” the CNSA informed.
Researchers conducted a preliminary analysis of the terrain relief and the surface of the moon around the probe on the basis of the obtained data.
