Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has provided 500 million UAH for the national postal operator Ukrposhta in the draft state budget for 2019 to finance the salaries of postmen who deliver pensions.
«In the draft budget 2019, UAH 500 million is laid for Ukrposhta, for the first time in a decade. This money will be used exclusively to finance the salaries of postmen of the «last mile», said the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan.
It is noted that in this way the government will be able to ensure uninterrupted delivery of pensions and act as a guarantor of the preservation of jobs and wages to those employees of Ukrposhta, «who ensure the presence of the state in the smallest towns of Ukraine».
As reported by The Journalist, from January 1, 2019, Ukrposhta will stop delivering pensions.
