In the village of Skorinets, Chernihov district, unidentified persons robbed the church of Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, which is subordinate to Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate).
Getting through the window, the attackers kidnapped three icons – Savior, St. Mary and Image of Edessa.
According to the press center of National Police of the Dnipropetrovsk oblast, the robbery was committed in another church – in Dnipro, valuables were carried out from Central Church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God «Unexpected Joy». Unknowns stole prayer books, robe, church values and personal belongings of the clergy.
According to law enforcement officers, the thieves immediately handed over valuables to the pawnshop, and then returned «for a new party». The crime recorded surveillance cameras.
