Conditions for the preservation of gas transit from Russia through the territory of Ukraine after 2020 are the unbundling (division) of Naftogaz and the creation of an independent operator of the Ukrainian gas transmission system (GTS) in cooperation with potential international partners, believes Naftogaz Ukraine Board of Directors Andrii Kobolev.

Kobolev said this during the Ukrainian Energy Week forum in Kyiv, reports Unian.

«In fact, I do not consider that the banding itself is sufficient conditions for the transit to remain on the territory of Ukraine. This condition is important, even mandatory, but not sufficient. Another condition is attracting a foreign partner. Then, I think, it is possible to preserve transit», Kobolev emphasized.
According to the head of Naftogaz, at the moment Gazprom (Russia) has offered 50% in the management of the Nord Stream gas pipeline to foreign partners.
«If Ukraine doesn’t do something like that, then it’s just more interesting for partners to work with them (with the Russian Gazprom, ed.)», Kobolev said.

As the «Journalist» reported, Naftogaz postponed the issue of Eurobonds.
