European Parliament condemns pseudo-elections to ORDLO and declare that they do not recognize their results.

This is stated in the statement of European parliamentarians, among them – the chairman of the European Parliament’s foreign affairs committee, German MP David McAllister, co-chairman of the Euronest parliamentary assembly, German MP Rebecca Harms, chairman of the delegation of the European Parliament in the parliamentary committee of the Ukraine-EU association, Polish MP Darius Rosati and the speaker of the European Parliament in Ukraine, German MP Michael Galer.

«We strongly condemn the illegal elections that took place on November 11 in the territories uncontrolled by the state, in the so-called «Lugansk People’s Republic» and «Donetsk People’s Republic», the statement reads.
MEPs emphasize that the so-called «elections» violate international law and undermine the obligations assumed by Russia under the Minsk agreements, reports Radio Svoboda.
It is noted that the so-called «vote» violates the sovereignty and laws of Ukraine.
«Therefore, we do not recognize the results of the elections», the deputies of the European Parliament noted.

They recalled that the implementation of the Minsk agreements by all parties remains key to achieving a sustainable political settlement of the conflict in the east of Ukraine.
MEPs have called on Russia and the illegal armed groups, which it supports, to fully fulfill their obligations under these agreements.

As reported by «Journalist», OSCE participating States at a meeting of the Permanent Council condemned illegal «elections» in Donbas.
