In California, United States Air Force conducted a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile test. About this reports Associated Press.

The report notes that the launch was carried out from the base of Vandenberg. The training missile was without a warhead, as the military command set out to work out the reliability and accuracy of the ICBM systems.
According to the results of the test launch, the rocket successfully hit the training target, which was located in the Pacific Ocean.
