A measles outbreak has been recorded in Poland. At the same time, Polish doctors do not exclude, that the source of disease spread is a citizen of Ukraine. This is reported by Polskie Radio.
Polish Minister of Health Lukash Shumovsky said that 17 cases of measles have been reported in central Poland since October 31.
«One of the patients is a citizen of Ukraine, and there, according to the official information, more than 35,000 people have been sick since the beginning of the year,» the report said.
It is emphasized that the situation is under control and the disease does not spread further. Note, that vaccination against measles in Poland is mandatory.
According to the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the year more than 35,000 people have become sick with measles in Ukraine, 15 of them died from measles complications.
As The Journalist reported, measles incidence has increased 17 times in Ukraine.
