G7 Ambassadors welcome IMF-Ukraine agreement

The G7 (USA, UK, Canada, France, Italy, Germany and Japan – ed.) Ambassadors welcome the staff level agreement between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Ukrainian authorities on a new 14-month Stand-By Arrangement worth US$3.9 billion.

This is stated in a message posted by the Ukraine Support Group on Twitter, within theframework of the Canadian Chair of the G7.

«The G7 Ambassadors welcome the staff level agreement reached between the IMF and the Ukrainian authorities on a new Stand-By Arrangement. A key step towards ensuring Ukraine’s future economic stability and continued economic growth,» said in a statement.

As The Journalist reported, the IMF will allocate USD 4 billion credit to Ukraine according to the new Stand-By program.
