Memorial to Holodomor victims was erected in largest city of Canada

The Memorial to Holodomor victims in Ukraine was erected in the capital of the Ontario province. This is reported by the Head of the department of international development at the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, Karim Morcos on his page on Twitter.
It is reported that the opening ceremony of the memorial took place in Toronto. It is located near the city’s airport and the Ontario waterfront.
The report notes that in the center of the memorial placed a sculpture of Ukrainian artist Peter Drozdovsky «Bitter memory of childhood.»
The opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Toronto John Tory, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Chrystia Freeland and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Stepan Kubiv.
As The Journalist reported, in Toronto monument dedicated to Holodomor victims will be opened.
