In Bulgaria, archaeologists have discovered Roman camp Bologna ruins

In Bulgaria, in Vidin town, during excavations, archaeologists discovered one of the largest fortifications in the country. We are talking about the ruins of the Roman camp Bologna. Roman legionnaires were engaged in construction of fortifications.
According to the information received, the remains of an unusual hexagon tower were also revealed during the research.

«This is the first tower of this kind, discovered in Bulgaria. Along with walls 4 m thick, the tower reliably defended the garrison of the fortress against the raids of the barbarians», the message says.

Professor of the National Institute of Archeology Zdravko Dimitrova noted that all the objects are well preserved.
