Ukraine’s Cabinet planned to allocate UAH 9.4 bln for SBU in 2019

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to increase the financing of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) by UAH 1.2 billion. Thus, the SBU funding in 2019 will estimate to UAH 9.4 billion. This is stated in the 2019 draft budget, published on the Verkhovna Rada website.

According to the draft state budget for 2019, the SBU is provided with expenditures in the amount of UAH 9 billion 408 million 647.6 thousand, including UAH 9 billion 203 million 600.6 thousand for the general fund and UAH 205 million 47 thousand for the special fund. The general fund expenses have been increased by UAH 1 billion 212 million 482.3 thousand in comparison to 2018.
In addition, UAH 8 billion 938 million 867.9 thousand can be allocated next year for providing of State security measures and for the SBU’s security system activities; UAH 38 million 912.9 thousand can be allocated for provision of special measures on struggle against organized crime and corruption (UAH 1 million 276.9 thousand more compared to 2018).
