Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called Ambassador of Palestine concerning statements about the Crimea

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands that Palestine provide explanations regarding statements about Ukrainian Crimea occupied by the Russian Federation.

This is stated in the statement MFA about the call in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ambassador of Palestine in Ukraine Mohammed Al-Assad.

«Ambassador of Palestine to Ukraine Mohammed Al-Assad was summoned to Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. Reason for this step was the comments circulated on September 19 in the media regarding the statements of Ambassador of Palestine to Russia Abdel Hafiz Nofal concerning the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine)», Foreign Ministry said.

« Ambassador of Palestine in Ukraine, Mohammed Al-Assad, confirmed position of Palestinian side on territorial integrity of Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea», report said.

Note that earlier Russian media referring to Ambassador of Palestine in Russia reported that leadership of Palestine supports occupation of Russia by the Ukrainian Crimea and calls actions of the Russian Federation in the Crimea corresponding «right of peoples to self-determination».
