Ankara (Turkey) says the Turkish government is the first to investigate facts of purchase of anthracite by local firms from the occupied part of Donbas. This is reported by the Polskie Radio.
It is noted that Turkey is actively investigating the situation that arose against the backdrop of the emergence of information about the purchase of anthracite from the occupied part of the Donbas. At the same time, attention is turned to the fact that the EU countries do not take appropriate measures regarding this issue.
The edition of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna turned to the diplomatic institutions of 18 European countries, asking what they did to block the purchase of coal from the territories Donbas that are controlled by the pro-Kremlin separatists. The answers are dominated by attempts to re-adress the question to other offices or repeated statements about respect for Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
On July 5, MP Jaroslaw Walesa turned to the European Commission with a request for mandatory interpretation of this issue. There is no responce so far.
Recall that earlier the Polish Energy Minister Krzysztof Thuzhevsky confirmed the supply of 11 thousand tons of anthracite to the country from the occupied areas of Donbas.
