Former officials appropriated 16 properties in the center of Kyiv

Kyiv local prosecutor’s office together with Special Police Department of Shevchenkovskiy State Unitary Enterprise of Ukrainian Communist Party in Kyiv suppressed activities of an organized criminal group, whose participants, through the forgery of title documents, seized ownership of 16 real estate objects.

As press service of the Kyiv city prosecutor’s office state and metropolitan community suffered a million damage.
Criminal group included former deputy general director of Kievvodfond, ex-head of legal department of said enterprise, three citizens of Ukraine and a citizen of the Russian Federation.

So, one of the gang members, using contract forms and fake seals, forged title documents to real estate objects, changing their owners to frontmen – residents of the occupied areas of Luhansk region. The latter for monetary reward acted as the seller’s side in fictitious legal actions with specified objects.

Thus, in period 2014-2015, malefactors took possession of 14 non-residential premises, which are located in central districts of capital and near metro stations.
The total amount of damage caused to state and territorial community by actions of this criminal group is more than 10 million UAH.
